My Therapeutic Approach

Taking a holistic and client centered approach is of great importance. While medication can be an effective and highly valuable aid for clients, it is also common for individuals to have precautions when it comes to medication. Listening, truly hearing and understanding each client’s needs, challenge areas, support systems, goals, and strengths is an essential part of the process, in order to develop and propose a comprehensive treatment plan.

Based on the initial assessment evaluation, I will work with you to provide recommendations. Depending on your specific needs the recommendations may include starting a specific medication(s), continuing with your current medication regimen, or working toward tapering off a medication(s).

My Education and Training

I am an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C), and am licensed to prescribe medication in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. My graduate school training was completed at Regis College’s Master of Science in Nursing program, and I received my Bachelors of Science in Nursing from the University of Massachusetts Lowell.

During graduate school, I completed six clinical rotations that included a range of settings, such as Lawrence Catholic Academy-School Based Health, Middleton Family Medicine-Primary Care, and Andover Obstetrics and Gynecology-Women’s Health. Post graduate school, I have worked as a registered nurse at both Lahey Hospital & Medical Center and Lawrence General Hospital. I have also worked as a nurse practitioner at Healthdrive, where I conducted mental health evaluations, medication-based recommendations and collaborated with the team social worker to provide quality and compassionate care to clients. For a more in-depth look at my clinical experiences please refer to my curriculum vitae.

My Areas of Specialty

My training and professional experiences have provided me the opportunity to work with individuals struggling with a wide range of mental and physical health conditions. I believe in the power of the mind-body connection and believe that both elements are important aspects of overall well-being. As part of the Clearview Horizons team, I am able to expand my specialty from the mind-body connection to also include OCD and related areas such as anxiety, perfectionism, body-focused repetitive behaviors, and hoarding.
